THE MATCHDAY ANSWER

Player reviews

Choose the job before choosing the name. Nico Paz suggests a close-control creator, Victor Osimhen a runner threatening depth, and Marco Asensio a technical connector. These are hypotheses from selected database strengths, not tested match-performance rankings.

What is confirmed, and what is advice?

The recommendations are editorial decision aids. Current FM27 announcements, earlier-edition background and real-football evidence are identified separately. No controlled FM27 experiment or guaranteed result is claimed.

Reviewed 8 November 2026. Suggested observation windows are practical checkpoints, not verified engine thresholds. Database observations retain their original source dates.

Start with these three decisions

  1. Define the missing action in your attack.
  2. Check the full profile and current contract in your save.
  3. Compare fit and total cost against an attainable alternative.

What these reviews actually measure

The source is Touchline FM’s already-reviewed public FM27 database 27.0.0 extract, read on 30 October 2026. Ages are calculated at 1 July 2026. Club associations describe that game database, not current real-world employment. Selected attributes below are recorded 1–20 values; the football interpretation is our editorial analysis. No new career simulation or controlled player test was performed for this article.

A highlight is a reason to investigate, not a complete profile. We do not infer weak defending from an absent defending highlight, or affordability from a missing price. Open the full public profile and then scout the same player in your own career. Changes in the save, database customisation and player development can change the decision.

Source notes: Touchline FM: Editorial and data method

Nico Paz: create the receiving space first

In the recorded Como profile, Paz is 21 with Dribbling 19, First Touch 18 and Technique 18. This combination suggests investigating a player who can receive, control and carry in tight areas. It does not prove a particular role is optimal. Inspect vision, passing, decisions, movement, preferred foot and traits before deciding how much creative responsibility to give him.

The proposed team fit is a receiving option between lines with at least one teammate stretching beyond him and another offering a safe return pass. If every attacker approaches the ball, excellent close control can still end in congestion. Against a deeper defence, inspect where he receives and whether his carries move the block. Against pressure, check whether he has an exit before demanding more risk.

Victor Osimhen: supply the runs, not only crosses

The recorded Galatasaray profile is age 27 with Off the Ball 18, Pace 18 and Determination 17. Those strengths make depth and timing natural questions for a review. Do not assume every through ball is useful: inspect the starting position, the passer’s angle and whether the defence is already retreating. The same run can stretch a back line even when it does not receive the ball.

Build a role hypothesis around who supplies him and who attacks the space he opens. Review receptions behind the defence, box touches and shot locations. If most attempts are hurried or from poor angles, simply increasing shot volume misses the problem. Check finishing, aerial attributes, support play and availability in the full profile rather than treating these three highlights as a complete striker evaluation.

Marco Asensio: connect the attack without duplicating jobs

The recorded Fenerbahçe profile is age 30 with First Touch 17, Flair 17 and Passing 17. A reasonable hypothesis is a technical link who can receive and connect rather than a player selected solely to race beyond the defence. Check his full physical profile, work without the ball, foot and traits before asking for an intensive pressing job or repeated wide recovery runs.

Pair the connector with complementary movement. If a central creator and a wide creator both seek the same pocket, the attack may become predictable despite individual quality. Watch whether Asensio receives facing forward, finds a runner or returns the ball without progression. A useful adjustment might change a teammate’s starting position rather than his entire role. That is a test to observe, not a verified FM27 recipe.

Compare the missing action, not a universal winner

These players answer different squad questions and are not presented as interchangeable transfer targets. Use the table to formulate the next report request. The most famous or technically impressive profile can be the wrong purchase if another player already owns that job. An attainable alternative with a clear route to minutes may make more sense than a second expensive creator.

Three role hypotheses to verify in your save
ProfileQuestion to testEvidence to watch
Nico PazCan he receive between lines with support?Receiving zones and successful progression
Victor OsimhenCan we supply useful depth runs?Run timing and shot locations
Marco AsensioDoes he connect to a complementary runner?Forward-facing receptions and next pass

Finish the report with a buying decision

Write a conditional verdict: investigate, buy within a stated ceiling, loan if the role and terms work, or pass. Include the transfer fee, guaranteed wages, bonuses, signing costs and any likely resale uncertainty. A recorded value is neither an asking price nor a confirmed release clause. Unknown money stays unknown; willingness and registration need current in-game confirmation.

After signing, retain the original role hypothesis and review the action you bought. A goal does not validate every assumption, and a quiet debut does not invalidate the whole report. Give your evaluation context: opponents, minutes, team changes and the player’s preparation. Link the report to individual training and team analysis so recruitment becomes a continuing football decision rather than a list of names.

EVIDENCE BEHIND THE ADVICE

Sources & edition notes

Official FM27 announcements establish current changes. Earlier-edition sources provide background. Community discussions identify questions and experiences; being hosted on SI’s forum does not make them official confirmation. Our recommendations are labelled as advice.

Quick answers

Are these live real-world player reviews?

No. They analyse a dated FM27 database extract. Clubs, ages and attributes retain that source context.

Which of the three is the best signing?

There is no universal winner. They suggest different jobs; budget, role fit, willingness and registration determine the decision.

Were these roles tested in simulated matches?

No. These are editorial hypotheses from selected recorded strengths, with explicit questions for your own match review.
