THE REASON TO CARE

Sampdoria: a champion in serie b

Sampdoria’s history records the 1990/91 Scudetto, while the club’s official 2026/27 schedule places the team in Serie B. That gap between the honours board and the current division is the heart of this save.

Your opening moves

  1. Audit long-term wage commitments before chasing the promotion market. Avoid carrying expensive short-term fixes into the next division.
  2. Choose two attackers whose movement complements one another. The inspiration is a memorable partnership, not an instruction to copy an old formation blindly.
  3. Give your academy and reserve prospects a route to minutes while keeping enough experience to handle the promotion race.

Give the save its own rules.

  • Allow a maximum of four permanent arrivals in the first summer.
  • Retain a player from the opening squad as a regular starter after promotion.
  • No editor shortcuts to erase financial constraints.

A career worth following

  1. First: return to Serie A.
  2. Next: establish the club and qualify for Europe.
  3. Finish: win the Scudetto with an attacking partnership you assembled and developed.

The trap to avoid

Buying an entire promotion team can postpone the rebuild rather than complete it. Keep a squad you can adapt after the first success.

Check before you start

Confirm the club’s division, player availability, finances, competition rules, and database version. Keep an untouched opening save. If your database differs from the premise, adapt the challenge and record the change rather than quietly editing the game world.
