THE REASON TO CARE
Partizan: back to the biggest stage
Partizan reached the 1966 European Cup final, losing 2–1 to Real Madrid after taking the lead. Your challenge is to build a new route towards that stage. Domestic dominance is a goal to earn first, not an assumption that ignores the competition in Serbia.
Your opening moves
- Start by measuring the gap to your strongest domestic rival and building the spine required to close it.
- Protect your best academy prospects with clear pathways and sensible contracts. Have a replacement ready before accepting a major sale.
- Keep enough stability for qualifying rounds. European progress should not depend on bedding in a completely new defence each summer.
Give the save its own rules.
- Keep at least three club-trained players in your senior rotation when available.
- No editor boosts to finances, reputation, or the country coefficient.
- Win the domestic title before accepting a job in a richer league.
A career worth following
- First: win the Serbian league and establish repeatable domestic success.
- Next: qualify for the Champions League proper and reach its knockout phase.
- Ultimate target: reach a European Cup or Champions League final and change the ending of 1966.
The trap to avoid
Calling the domestic league easy before you have won it is the quickest way to stall the project. Build the platform, then raise the ambition.
Check before you start
Confirm the club’s division, player availability, finances, competition rules, and database version. Keep an untouched opening save. If your database differs from the premise, adapt the challenge and record the change rather than quietly editing the game world.
