Bursaspor: the crocodile returns
Bursaspor won the Süper Lig in 2009/10. The club announced another promotion-clinching title in April 2026, taking its recovery towards the 2026/27 second-tier campaign. This is a former-champion rebuild, not a top-flight title challenge on day one; confirm the division and playable league setup in FM27.
Your opening moves
- Load the required Turkish divisions and check the opening squad, finances, and registration rules. Set promotion as a sporting plan, not permission to spend without limits.
- Build a spine that can survive the step up. Use short contracts for stopgaps and longer development routes for players who can grow with the club.
- Reconnect the academy to the first team. The return should produce its own heroes, not rely entirely on hired replacements.
Give the save its own rules.
- Keep at least one club-trained player in your preferred XI whenever a suitable player is ready.
- No editor debt removal or cash injection.
- Do not replace more than half of your regular XI after promotion.
A career worth following
- First: win promotion to the Süper Lig.
- Next: establish the club in the top flight with a sustainable wage structure.
- Finish: win a second top-flight title and return to the Champions League proper.
The trap to avoid
The memory of 2010 can create expectations the current squad cannot yet meet. Build the bridge back before demanding another championship.
Check before you start
Confirm the club’s division, player availability, finances, competition rules, and database version. Keep an untouched opening save. If your database differs from the premise, adapt the challenge and record the change rather than quietly editing the game world.
